micky(one punch)watson ,martin(jazza)jarret,mad dog micky smith, charlie beressford ,jesus and the bear, jonny (the horse ) bourne , and a whole lot more propper charecters i was lucky enough to work with over the years...
 
freddie thompson gave me my first job in scaffolding at altitude manchester in the early seventies worked with mick cassidy there as well
 
yer worked with his son shaun cassidy he was a lazy btsard but heard freddie and teddy were alright.
 
we had shanksie with us on nites on the underground for slippery me tesse and lots more as well people who could put a tube up, we sent one nite at a theater with the lite line for a slung me and tesse woke up when johny hurley said what the **** you doing that three hours later and we always had fags them days on the oxo and a porn book :)
 
i knew john hurley, not a good word to say about him though,
worked for bill leane, good bloke, got on well with him,
started on the albert bridge in 1983 with colin anderson, and george norris, both out of streatham, some good times with them 2, both good blokes, think colin anderson does tv work now, done know about george norris though
havnt seen them since i left south london in 1985,
 
Just looking back on some earlier threads, ledgends.
I knew and worked for most of the guys and companies mentioned, but that would have been back in the mid seventies.
L&B kenny L great guy, a freind, Johny Hurley, died on ops table age 54 not one of my fav people.
Bill Leane crazy paddy, Phil Moore, Ken Davey, what a man started so many companies, D&R, Trad, and many more, anyone remember speedy Dave Bowen? think he passed away, great friend, Kevin Clifford great guy, anyone remember M&R J, Tryfoot carefull now one of my best mates, sort of the earth tought me the game, anyone remember these London scaffs, Micky Collins, Freddy Reynolds, real charactors, funny guys, never a dull moment with these 2, and probably the most fanous of all Tessy Baker the greatest and most loved scaff out of south london, comedian famous for his scaffolding, huge man with huge disability, had one leg shorter than the other, giant of a man when standing on his good leg, passed away aged 54 RIP mate.

acl where did they run out off , quickfix is qfs , digbys , ramport , inter fix , lms , parker they all firms i remember
think interfix and lms got absorbed into sgb

Johny donka Shanks, yes mate, a Battersea boy, as where most mentioned, Quick Fix also owned by Westminster, clifford family and Roy Martin, Crowie, Micky Crow know all these guys very very well, Bobby and Barry Haines, Peter Watts think his now at NCC Erith, Micky and Jimmy Graham, Joey Abrahams now there's a man nobody messed with, The Warnes Brothers form Wandsworth road, Micky, Dave, Terry, Alan all scaffs, The Daly brothers, there all coming back to me now.

I remember Peter Watts and Freddy Reynolds worked for TRADS and my old man, sadly Peter passed away last year, I had a chat with him about old times at Erith CITB last year.:(

worked with frankie mason on trads in the late 80s , what a character used to take the YTS lads shoplifting for cloths on a Friday, to many tales to tell about him

Hines were bought out by SGB in the 70's, Bill Purkis moved over to GB as a Regional Manager

Bill Leane has a company out of Cricklewood now,Magners,you'll see them alot around north london.
