Jumping onto this post re the old SK fitting........
These were a great fitting; however were usually installed incorrectly thus leading to bending of the bridge part of the fitting.
The correct method was to loosen off the top part (steel connecting part), then tighten the bottom (tube part) then thighten the top part.
Myself included, used to just apply/connect the fitting to a beam using only the tube connecting part of the fitting & the bonus was at the time the whole fitting would tighten up.............good at the time however as mentioned above the neck of the fitting would bend out of shape
