Unqualified erecting system ?

Steveo, The Possible Reason Your Card Dosent Say Tube And Fitting Is There Is No System Advanced Card, Any Gold Card Is Therefore A Tube And Fitting Card.

Joe, Any Gold Card Is A Tube And Fitting Card Mate. There Is No System Advanced Card Or Svq Three.

but say it was the trussout we are talking about aom,he was passed on this module, assessed in his nvq on a trussout that on his practical was layher, how then if asked on site to do a layher trussout or more commonly staircase ,can he then not be said to be qualified in building the same thing he built, assessed and passed on in his training ?

Not Sure If Its Law Or Not Yet, But Try Getting A Job Up Here Without Any System Add Ons Bigfish Its Gonna Happen Down South Soon.

If there is not an advanced system course who erects an advanced system scaffold such as a hanger or truss out?
Or are they classed as basic scaffolds because they are system?

Portugal on penalties

fukin shout deb missed that, had tower ties 6m in my head, thats going to raise questions then,do these blokles get tube training for the ties or can system go to 6m without ties ?

Don't think so BF, we have to be trained and ticketed.

Thank feck for that,i would'nt want people getting the wrong idea and thinking i was a system monkey:laugh::laugh:......only joking any system monkeys reading:D

Thought all scaffolds had to be tied 1st at 4m... would think system is the same... especially with the ledger braces not supplied, wobble like fuk at 6m...

The system manufacturers just copied and pasted the tg20 tie pattern.

Sorry Joe, we are at crossed purposes a bit here, I have never heard a stair case been referred to as a truss out but either way he needs the additional product training to erect system if he has a tube and fitt card.

how is it brickies etc can put up certain system scaffs with a 2/3 day training card,is it to do with being on a private job or something else, how does this get round the regs set for us ?

It's because it's so easy to erect all you need is to level the base out then the rest just slots into place. You can't alter it like tube n fitting so no design needed because the way it all slots together is the design. You can't go wrong with it if ur base outs level. That's why in countries like oz ur advanced in 2 days cos not much need for tube n fitting. The only true scaffs in my opinion are those who can use t & f in other words British.

A Truss Out Is Regarded As A Basic Structure, I Did It On My Part Two Same As A Cantelever Dropper Thats What I Did My Assesment On, Iv Done Most Things In System , Would Prefer To Use Tube 100% But Realistically It Isnt Going To Happen, So You Do As Good A Job As You Can With The Material Provided And Get On With It. Iv Seen Good Tube Guys Struggle With System Becuase Its A Different Mindset, And Iv Seen Good System Guys Not Having A Clue About Tube, Its Just About Learning And Being Taught, I Always Try To Encourage My Trainees/Labourers To Move And Learn .

Have you ever heard a stair case being called a truss out?

Also, I am not sure that's right about it being a basic structure. I still think jobs like that need to be designed system or not.

no aom,im saying everybody erects a staircase out of system for access on the course ,the trussout i saw them do may have been for another reason i didnt know so to make sure my point was made staircases that are erected out of haki by most people i know on your course should then be allowed to be erected on site without further training, sorry for my wording it wrong

jesus i know i went a bit pete tong on the ira thread but i know the difference between a trussout and staircase lol
