haha, there is no need for that, the moderators will get you for sure.:D

Don't worry Paddy, all our sponsors have survived the big bad world, Rosie has been on here enough to know the craic.

Hmmm i mite get the sack as a mod tommorow 😓😰😰

Oh I do hope so, I can do that gies a joab.

Only kidding Scaffy, if they try that we would hit the cobbles.

FFS Paddy, keep it simple. I thought I was being a bit thick there but the only abbreviation I know is FFS.:D

Scaffy,

Deleting and editing posts doesn't make what you said ok. I saw what you wrote about me and frankly, you disgust me. Launching an attack on Bettertax is one thing but to make it personal and threatening, my perceived whereabouts being mentioned, is quite another.

Roger pointed out how ridiculous your OP was, which you have now admitted to being bollox, well you have edited it to that, because you probably realised what you had said was daft. The following has been a diatribe of insults, with you rounding up your fellow cronies, seeking their approval so that you can then write something not only derogatory to me, but also disrespectful to other forum sponsors.

I don't deserve to ever be spoken to like that by anyone, least of all some jumped up little man who is no more than a playground bully that needs affirmation from a bunch of cackling hyenas. Shame on all of you for not one of you speaking up. I can only imagine that you're happy for your wives, daughters, sisters and girlfriends to be talked to like that in a public place, for no reason... NO reason!!!

aom, no, it wasn't a bit of craic. It was spat out at me with pure malice and spite. I am shocked with your behaviour, tbh, throughout this entire thread - it saddens me. :(

I can only aplogise for the customer service you have experiened. We at Bettertax pride ourselves on great customer service and one of the reasons I am her on the forum is provide that service through this medium. January is a hugely busy time, which I know is no excuse, as we try and get as many latecomers through the system before the January deadline, so as to avoid them being fined.

It's a pity you chose to store up your "frustrations" and post during this thread rather than use the PM facility earlier. PMs come directly to my email so I can respond to them as quickly as possible. I would say, ask any of the guys here that have used it, but judging by everyone's behaviour on this thread, culminating in an abusive comment from scaffy, I wouldn't count on it.

As for forum sponsors having any control on the forum, you are quite wrong. The only person with control is admin and in his absence, the moderators, and oh! how they wield that control... choosing to launch this thread when Admin has gone for the weekend. Make no mistake though, if we catch members lying and fabricating stories to try and put Bettertax in a bad light, we'll certainly point that out. Has nowt to do with dummy spitting.

Sponsors pay for the priviledge of being here, members are here free. If you feel so strongly about not wanting forum sponsors here, tell admin. Perhaps he can run the forums on your subscriptions. I'd ask the SCCR first though on how good you guys are at paying up. (sorry, I'm just trying to make a point. I think the SCCR work extremely hard and are supported really poorly.) The forum membership would certainly not be 10k.

Going back to the original "idea" of £100 tax returns... it certainly is all about choice. You have no idea how many clients we have that tried bargain accountants, got their accounts in a complete mess and have turned to us, because we are specialists.

I see you chimed in again. You are making it sound like we have done something wrong with your mate. Is he unhappy with how we are dealing with his HMRC trouble? Has he told you we are to blame? Has he said anything other than the barest amount of information, which you have decided to post about here, making it sound like something is untoward? Has he told you, we do this service for free, as part of the customer experience? Has he got to pay any money back to anyone? NO, because he's not been paid out yet. Have we been paid? NO, because nothing has been paid out yet. Are we going over and above what a tax refund agent does, for having had no fee? YES, we are, because thats how we treat our clients. So, I'd ask you to back off talking about this case, or maybe you'd like to ask your mate to call me if he is unhappy with any part of what we are doing. Thank you.

Realise that this is Rosie posting, not Bettertax. Very disappointed. :(

Bettertax I am very sorry to read this as you are posting the wrong information the lad on the site I am working has been paid and so have you you are talking about a different lad as I have spoke to him today.

Would you care to PM his name to me, so I can look at it more closely? The details aren't tieing up and this should be private, away from this thread, for sure. I'd appreciate it.

Wind it in, scaffy, enough already.

Not only did we read your post as you had written it, Podger did too, otherwise he wouldn't have clarified what you were trying to say.

You're just being rude now, so kindly stop. I don't have the time or inclination to spend outsmarting you, although in fairness it wouldn't take me too long.

Go for it - you seem to have a lot you want to say

""although in fairness it wouldn't take me too long"" funny

I use this site daily and would have no quarms contributing if we didn't have any sponsors. Don't know what you said Scaffy but as one of your cronies you can text me.

Well Rosie all I can do is apologise to you as that was never my intention. My opinion in this matter goes quite a bit back, not even sure if you were a member or not at the time but basically we got our knuckles wrapped like the wee school boy's we can some times be as another sponsor took a dislike to the language being used on the forum. My position as a forum member always has and always will be who the hell are the sponsors to tell us how to behave and to be honest it maddened me. Rightly or wrongly I feel this thread started out the same way with one member offering a service which I personally would never use but felt you had a bit of a cheek assuming it was dodgy to show a false loss without appearing to make further inquiries. My point was it should be about giving the boys options and as thankful of your support as we are, it in my eyes does not give you complete control over what can be made available to other's from one forum user to another. If someone came on here promising the cheapest scaffolds in Argyll I would smile shrug my shoulders and continue to knock spots of them with quality but we are all different.

You are right about one thing, you do deserve to be addressed in the correct manner and I'm glad to see the offending post has been modified. I do now wish I put up a bit of an objection instead of making lite of it and for that you get an unreserved apology from Aom and hopefully we can move on from there.
