Take it no one knows then regarding the CISRS cards.. I'll make some calls Tue...

The only change to CISRS is they will more than likely announce a new system that will cost. May not be for five years yet.

Another admin company could take over the CSCS part.

I can't see it being announced without something in the background, ones thing for sure it won't change over night as the main contractors are more into CSCS than NASC!!

Funny as feck.....

When i was at College, doing my Dip in OSH, 3 year ago i think..... with the TUC, one of my tasks was a research project. I decided, to write a project about CBH (constructing better health). i found it very hard to submit a synopsis, as it was links to this and links to that.

Now they are out the closet, and mentioned 1 or 2 times with 'Considerate Construction' have a look, anything seem similar .

Welcome to Constructing Better Health (CBH). The not-for-profit organisation committed to improving the health of the Construction, Building Services and FM sector workforces.
CBH is responsible for delivering the National Scheme for the management of occupational health in the construction industry. It focuses on five key areas:

Setting industry standards for both work-related health issues, and competency of occupational health provision
Building a construction-specific knowledge portal
Centralising the collection of work-related health data
The transmission of fit-for-task data to enable employers to manage work-related health risks at site level
A referral route through to specialists in the field of return to work and rehabilitation
The benefits to the industry and workforce are already being realised by our major clients.
“Protecting the health of construction workers is of critical importance to Crossrail and occupational health has a key role to play in identifying and controlling health risks.

Through the adoption of Constructing Better Health standards and the implementation of Crossrail’s own occupational health standard we are targeting frontline personnel to ensure they are fit for work and fit for life.”

Andy Mitchell, Programme Director

“CBH has developed in leaps and bounds in a short time. From a business and moral viewpoint, I believe collaborating with them is of huge benefit to ASDA. Through CBH we want to put guidelines and KPIs in place to ensure we are growing sound occupational health practices with our construction supply chain. We will be targeting safety critical workers in the first instance.”

Clive Johnson, Health and Safety Manager

“ProCure21+ is seen as a case study in best practice for the implementation of frameworks by NAO and OGC. Working with CBH we want to encourage our supply chains to improve their management of the health of those that deliver the projects under the framework. Working with the CBH and through the CBH client charter we will encourage all our framework contractors and their supply chains to develop their approach to the management of occupational health.”

Cliff Jones, Senior Policy & Performance Manager

Just phoned CISRS and they said this dispute will not affect the card system, its seperate altogether ( scaff cards ) thank ****...

The bloke said, CISRS is totally seperate to the CSCS , different card scheme.

Maybe they will bring something new out in years to come.. who knows..
but for a few years at least we should be ok, thats CISRS carded people.. only telling what I was told...

The renewal date on your cards is in reference to the CSCS test. So you would have to under go some sort of test to renew your card!!!

My Card is due for renewal this month---as I have just revalidated my BOSIET the CISRS will accept it, so Iv been spared the touch screen test...

yeh, I didn't have to do the touch screen, some HSE course we did at work covered the CISRS card... done the touch screen before though.. piece o piss...
