hey im not sure but i thought that to quailify for tax free work abroad you have to work/be out of the uk for 11 months of the year. As this job is only for 4 months if i were to go and then return to the uk i was under the impression i'd still have to pay the tax on any money earnt?

uae is a tax free haven,you dont pay tax,you only pay british tax if you work for a british company,in this case you wont be working for uk company
 
sorry mc havent mate but if you contact the local cape office am sure youl get the number,this is the whole plant so be a real biggie just depends on shell releasing large chunks of work goodluck mate.

Thanks. Very helpful!! Doubt il get on this one with all the interest on this site alone. Like someone mentioned on first page I bet they want Indians at a tenth of price!!!

Think you have to stay out of UK for a full tax year. But why would you declare a few months work overseas?
Or you can go back to UK but shouldnt work for the rest of the tax year.

PMSL contractual differences my a£se---more like they could not afford the UK Lads---the thing is Lads were over qualified for that s1hit hole and that's the bottom line...
 
Not that I had any real interest in this thread but I am always suspicious when someone wants a document sent in word format.

aye, thank fck I never sent my Scaffolding and Rigging Credentials, I never send any serial No. or Copies of Cert, until Im totally satisfied that the job for real...to much I.D. theft goin on lately :eek:...
 
never worked away before what would the going rate for a part 2 scaff and will i need my passport to safty coures?
 
Probably not working abroad mate. Depends where you would be going to work. Go to Envirowrap in Holland and you'll get £10 an hour all day every day, even christmas day lol.
