Morning Fellas.
Ive started an experiment. It might well fall flat in my face, hopefully it wont.

Ive started a Youtube Channel, which im going to use to upload videos of the sights i see at work, jobs im on, Scaff's having the crack - yanno, anything really. :)

Ill try to upload a few a week - or depending on what im doing and where im working, one a day or so.

The link is at the bottom of my post, in my signature.
Or >>> Click here <<< (http://www.youtube.com/user/JasonGibbsScaffolder?feature=mhee).

Theres only 3 videos atm, so theres not much going on, but hopefully, by the end of the week ill have about a dozen-ish...

Im lucky that over the years ive worked on some really nice jobs, that at that time, i wasn't able to capture or share any of the sights/work i saw.

Hopefully now, i can change that. ;)

Anyway, its nothing important. Just thought id let everyone know that i was going to try something different.

Speak to you all later.
Thanks guys.
Jay.

I've subscribed to it Jase.
Good luck with posting the videos. To get more views you should put down more tag words in.On my channel I put loads that dont even relate to my videos.e.g. chelsea, man utd etc on videos that have nothing to do with football. Then if people are searching for these words my video might pop up in their search.
Hopefully youtube/google will ask you to become a 'youtube partner' which means they put adverts on your clips and you get paid if people click on the links to the ads.
I have been paid £145 since September from youtube for doing nothing. Not a lot of cash but it paid for my new xbox...

Theres another to do on the same site thats going to be 260ft - all out of Tube and Fitting that could be maybe the biggest Tube and Fitting Staircase in the world.

Heres the first bit of Beamwork in it My 5th Video - taken today @ about 4pm.

Afternoon fellas.

Heres the finished Beamwork for the 140ft high Staircase.
Yes i KNOW some of the Beams are upside down, but we can only go with how the flanges are... you cannot physically bend the Beams to suit - im not Ben Flynn you know! :D

About 1000 Doubles in it and its already a bit of a lump.

I know I am not a designer but that looks a lot of weight on a small amount of standards. Used to double up every set like that for that amount of beam work.

But then I am not a designer!

Good work with the up dates Jason. Need you to come to Cornwall & do some promotion videos for the SCCR!!!

You'll find that the Scaff about Town's tipple seems to be...

Disaronno

Disaronno Originale (28% abv) is a brand of fruity amaretto, with a characteristic bittersweet almond taste.

I do hope it was because the Gibbs household had run out of proper booze or that it was a Christmas present getting near its use by date...

Call me old fashioned but what happened to the pint of whisky and a a double beer?;)

Jason-Gibbs
26th March 2012, 07:14 PM
Trev mate... you have no idea! LOL :D
Ive drunk more Disarono lately, then ive scratched my balls... and i do that ALOT!

Isn't Whiskey = Irish and Whisky = Scotch?

Anyway, I looked for some Disaronno is ASDA and they were sold out, so you might have done what those TV cooks do when they promote a food item - they promptly sell out!

I'm intrigued about it now. What do you have with it? I tend to drink spirits neat and sometimes cut out the middleman of a glass. :D

Nice new video BTW.

Jason-Gibbs

Ahh nothing wrong with Disaronno... over ice... lovely... yes, very smooth. None of that nasty whiskey shudder as it hits.

The young people seem to drink it with coke (cola!), but then they seem to drown all their spirits with that.

All this twitter talk all of a sudden! We're there @bettertax, be great to see more of you in 140 characters or less. (I should have mentioned that, Jason. Your twitter name counts towards the 140 allocation :))

I didn't say there was anything wrong with Disaronno, just rather surprised that it would be on a scaff's radar but I'm learning all the time! I now want to try Disaronno, but I cannot find any anywhere. I think Jason has stockpiled it!

Very good Jason, I'm tired just looking at it and 2 handed is a bit off. I take it there must be an easy way for getting the gear up there?

Another thing, I'm not having a dig as I know you got it tight for the beams but I will just never get used to seeing bracing as flat as that especially on the bottom lift. I may have been looking at the wrong thing but it just doesn't look right for me despite the fact I know you will be working to a drawing.

Jason-Gibbs
31st March 2012, 06:53 PM
I dont know why, but how it was designed was a row of Beams, then a 2nd row of Beams copied EXACTLY the same on top - making the double Beams.

A few things, especially at Camden Town Underground Station a few years ago.
I swear that after 11pm that place turns into the wild west! People fighting, stabbings, drug dealers openly selling on the street, you name it, lol.

Last year @ Farringdon a couple was seen hanging out the window of their flat shagging off the balcony... @ about 3am, as we come back from the 24h cafe there, word spread like wild fire and within a few minutes what was 10 Scaffolders perving, turned into half the sight (250+) blokes AND all the Engineers and Site Managers also having a watch, lol.

The cafe was right next to that club: Fabric (apparently its a pretty famous club), so we used to see some mental stuff there too, lol.
