hi mate welcome the forum is what it says scaffolders forum not carded scaffolders forum,hswt is a source of very good info for the boys here and is well respected by many(me included).enjoy your stay on the forum your input will be welcome by all esp the many lads who are currently seeking advice on how to get started out there.

I was joking celticbhoy. I have worked with great scaffolders who got their cards through "grandfather rights", in fact I was taught the game by some of them. I have also worked with great scaffolders who have never attended a course. I have also worked with some rubbish who have attended more courses and got more cards and certificates than you could shake a stick at.I was just having a poke at the attitude of "you got your card out of a crisp packet." As we know getting a card is just a matter of paying the fee and turning up. On the forum to mention cards is a sure fire way of getting a reaction from the more sensitive souls!!!
 
Dont know as havent heard from him for a while. I did give him some details for a job in Dubai.
Mind you I did hear that a few scaffs are going offshore in Venezuela. Heard its daily shuttling from Caracas, hotels paid and time off paid. Wish I had renewed my BOSIET when I heard about it.
