Ive been in KSA five years but moving to Iraq next month with a new company, to many brits coming over for even 600 pound a week.

Better be quick or the job will be gone......

Hi Lee,

Yes Cape job was a breeze mate and left on good terms with a nice settlement, new job is with a major oil company and three times the salary with a better leave cycle.

So onwards and upwards mate. (and less stress)

I was in yanbu KSA for a year with harsco baroom as contract supervisor. And they have just opened a scaffold training centre, the rotation is not the best over by, wouldn't be as bad for a single guy suppose.

i have been speaking with people on here who have been giving me advise about this position they say you were in yanbu when you were there and you were a supervisor on shutdown and you only lasted 4 months not a year and according to people on here who are still in yanbu you caused nothing but trouble.

3rd jan to 30th October is nearly a year in my books. I was running a few shutdowns out there and only once came accross 1 expat coordinator on samref. Pete who has since moved on I believe......

Depends what you mean by trouble.....when the supposed biggest scaffolding company in the world can't get visas to supply the scaffolders and instead they cross hire from local companies who get there workers from the local market.........it's doomed from there.

I've yet to meet a Scaff who doesn't cause a bit of animosity!!
