Stripped a job this morning and the socket kept coming off the driver, do they do one for just the socket?![]()
the makita has a pin through the drive, socket cant come off until the pin snaps. what you been using
Contrary to popular belief amongst my oh so educated brethren, who may Know the square route of ef all but not the size of a sole pad, I too am using the makita but whilst there is a bit for a pin I never got one and the guy who sold me the sockets told me he could fit one as long as I didn't want to take the socket off but I also wanted to use it for the Apollo bolts with the smaller head. I may have to bite the bullet and get it fitted and use the wee mates hilti for the bolts.
It was mint to start but as you already know even the tightest holes loosen after a bit of action.![]()
get a reducer then put the smaller bit on???
the pin comes with a rubber ring to hold it in place. you can change sockets in less than 10 seconds. will try and locate them for you.
You not wrong there me old porridge muncher, Hippo,s yawn springs to mind :laugh:
Jakdan, how do you get a reducer when they are both 1/2 inch drive? Too many moving parts for a scaff.
G-scaff, I would appreciate what you can do.
