But if this gets in front of the wrong department panic will set in if your firm cannot supply this fitting ,
Its went from W@H, to lanyards on your tools ,to lanyards on your fittings
The game is physically demanding without all this extra ******** from some money grabbing brain surgeon
you'll be like a prospectors donkey before you kick a ball
 
I think any halfwit could have thought of sticking a little loop on a fitting so it can be tethered but come on get serious.
 
this is fcuking w*nk... another desk jockey c*ck sucker that can not make money using a spanner, finds a way through stupidity like this... pathetic.. god gave us hands to use and one of those uses is the physical ability to grab and hold...
 
wonder if you could fit 30-40 of these on, quicker to scaffold,no more fittings off the floor :)
 
How much of this pish are the brotherhood of scaffs going to put up with till there's a mass downing of tools on these 'prestige' sites?
I know, I know, there's no solidarity amongst workers anymore. There'll always be some f@ckin scabby b&starts that will carry on.
What about boards, tubes or any other f@cking item that can be carried at height. Tether everything then you better make sure that whatever you've tethered is tethered to something else until there's so much tethers all over the place that we need to do a risk assessment on them because they're a f@cking trip hazard.

Surely whatever is teathered to us should be covered by the lolar regs, and were adding something to our harnesses that is not manufactorer recommended, so are all harnesses now got to be redesigned to allow this piece of shiite to be attatched to it.
 
When will all this end? IMHO the life is being sucked out of the job by money grabbing 'nebosh kn@&heads'.

Got to admit, I have not read all the posts, so if anyone has already brought this up, sorry for repeating. So envisage yourself erecting a six foot lift ( no matter what height the scaffold) you loose the fitting, it swings around and smashes you in the knee cap or bolllocks, either one is going to hurt like fuuck? good idea but stop the pendulum motion before the product is introduced. This idea/product will be introduced to all height scaffolds once it takes hold, so inventor, please, don't forget the users welfare.

Valid points there aussiebob. The inventor has taken your comments on board.
When these tethered fittings go into mass production they will be made of cotton wool. Apparently it's the same factory that produces today's scaffolders.
 
lol, Know what you mean H, but this is the world we live in today Got to say, working in NZ is like the old days, just get on with it and work the job out and put it up, drawings they say, fucck the drawings just erect it. The only difference is, construction sites in NZ kill 4 times the amount of workers than their Aussie brothers and 8 times then Old Blighty, so in Hindsight UK must be doing something right. (not to say these deaths are to do with scaffolding)
