correct hswt,remember working away is completely different spending wise,you don't want to sit in your digs every night do you,some nights you will head to the pub ,so that's why im saying the German job would suite single men.

then you should know,your sending money home every week to the wife and kids and feeding yourself when you are liveing away.

But if your working at home you still have to pay for your food. The only difference would be if you had to pay for digs as well as pay a mortgage.
