hello lads i have work in sussex (crawley) starting tomorrow

£17 hour part 2 and advanced more

4 weeks 40 hours per week

no digs but theres digs near there for £15 per night

Not keen on agencys myself Gaz, but have heard good things about Octain. Fair play to you Tom.
 
Ok tom, pm me some details. Could do with knowing where about in crawley too. Ill need atleast 5 months to make it worthwhile.

Pmsl £15 anight for digs on 40hrs makes sence :-? So top line say £680 digs £75 + fuel costs = not worth it !!!!!!!!

As for head good things about octian well you must be the only one

depends what the digs are like e.g all inc and how far from the job they are.

Cant moan at 680 a week for 8 hour days
 
You finally get a good rate and someone still moans about it.

£680 top line less 4 nights digs (unless you plan to stauy the weekend) is £620 which is £15.50 per hour. No fuel expenses as you're in digs. And if you're local, well happy days.

Ive not worked for Octane before, but ive spoken to Tom on the phone a few times.

He sounds good as gold.
Ive heard Octane are fair payers aswell.

All agencys sound as good as gold when they want you to work for them lol. You would be supprised how many would lie to you about somthing or another jyst to get you on site. I.m not tarnishing them all with the same brush mind. Just talking from past expreiance with some other agencys. Just for the record, ive not workef for octain (yet) so couldnt comment on them in that way. But I give all agencys the benefit of the doubt to start with and coming on here themselves offering 17ph can only be a good thing in my opinion. If they did ******** then they would get badnamed here aswell.

Whos traveling? Im local, plus its £2720 for 4 weeks work
 
Wow.... you must be so happy na it's not take ya tax off first and ya costs... and I was saying for a travelling mans perspective.
 
Yea pal extatic, see I dont understand who you calling a mong because I didnt read anyone saying it was a good wage for a traveling man, did you? Even after you take 22% off its still better rate than what any other agency is offering on here, or maybe you know somthing no one else on this whole fookin forum does eh?

ive worked for quite a few agencys and only a couple have done that. If you have that attitude against every agency that offerd a decent rate then you will never make any decent money. like I said earlyer, ya gota give them all the benefit of the doubt, and if they do ******** about then you come here and tell us all and then they will get a bad name. How many agencys have you worked for?

I think Tomboy set out the offer of work in a fair and proper manner and even uses the word please (pls call) he his polite and helpful in his further post's

As for me I am not a lover of agencies or the practices of the majority, but it is an offer of work and may be a life saver for some one

The main contractors are the one's that let the agencies into the construction Industry with petty cost cutting directives and no loyalty to thier own direct workforce
