Petrofac Facilities Management Ltd has an opportunity for a Deck Foreman to join our team.
This is a permanent position within our Offshore, Projects & Operations Division, for the Enquest Producer, currently based in Hamburg. The successful applicant will require to be flexible in their approach to location and work pattern for the Pre-operations phase of the project.

Responsibilities:

•The Deck Foreman is responsible for organizing the marine crew to effectively provide logistical and service support in ensuring efficient and safe materials transfer, crane, boat, helicopter, scaffold and rigging operation.
•Effective planning and use of labour to meet stakeholders’ needs
•Ensure cranes are fully functional and operated correctly, within their environmental parameters and in relation to sea and weather conditions: Carries out the required check’s and liaises with the Maintenance Department to they are available for use and comply with company procedures, design specifications and legislation
•Ensure all rigging and lifting equipment is in good condition, stored correctly and controlled effectively
•Hold toolbox meetings, conduct task analyses and risk assessments. Raises Permits for non-routine Tasks.

Supervises the Deck Crew in:

•Providing logistical, rigging and general support to other departments
•Helicopter operations ensuring they are carried out safely: Includes refuelling, baggage / freight handling/Safe boarding and disembarkation of personnel.
•Maintenance heli-deck crash and utility equipment
•Waste management services in compliance with statutory and company regulations.
•Planning and supervising offloading and back-loading of supply vessels: Management of heavy lifts, hazardous materials etc.
•Ensuring that crane corridors and no-lift areas are identified and observed
•Maintaining the FPSO rigging and lifting equipment and control its issue and use as determined by operating procedures.
•Assist the Materials Co-ordinator with the manifesting, laydown management and distribution of stores and materials

Skills and Qualifications

•Previous industrial experience in the oil & gas industry working as a Deck Foreman
•Good communication skills
•Self motivated and enthusiastic when working as part of a team or on own initiativeUse skills and experience to contribute to problem solving and improving the day to day running of the department.
•Permit to Work system competency
