Scaffolding Supervisor Angola Rotation 4*4

This site is great for heads up on jobs abroad etc, but when company's say " what salary expected" everyone should stick to the same sort of cash range. Maybey unless it's a salary PA job the moderators could put a rule in place where the "advertiser" must list the day rate etc. it's bad enough companies cutting each others throats with out the lads out bidding each other for a job?..........just saying likes

Good post Roscobroon. Its a tactic used by many companies and especially agencies which leaves the applicant the quandary of either going to high and his application goes in the bin or else too low and he ends up out on a job where people are being paid a lot more.
As most of the jobs on here are lifted from other websites it would be difficult for the moderators to say a rate must be stated.
Its especially used for overseas work management and supervision. I would think the minimum rate for a superintendent for example in Saudi would be in the region of SAR 35,000 per month plus accomodation. In Australia AUD 250,000 per annum. However so much would depend on hours worked, other benefits etc.

Yeah I know what your saying mate, the thing is harsco expects a supervisor to go to Saudi for on 18000 SAR, and they get people out there, shame really as I believe if everyone stuck to there guns a bit and requested the likes of 35k SAR they would eventually have to pay it! Especially as when your out there running shutdowns you ain't just working 8-4 sat-Thursday

Yes there are quite a few Brits over in Saudi on 18,000sr Fred.

I know personally one who has been there over two years and still on the 26,000 he joined on.

Most companies not just scaffolding all trades are offering around 18-23,000 for the first year with a promise of a large increase after 1 year but most have left before they complete their time.

Its catch 22 for a lot of unemployed engineers in the UK, take the job and prove yourself with the hope of a better salary, or be on the dole.
