Scaffolding Superintendent / Inspector
Location: Qatar
Region: Middle East
Position Type: Contract
Description
WGPSN have a requirement for a Scaffolding Superintendent / Inspector to work in our project in Qatar - Offshore.
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 3 to 4 trips of 28 days
Supervise a scaffolding team to build a specifically design support to enable the facility crane boom to be changed-out, that will allow the crane to become operational.
Strictly follow and comply with all HSE policies and procedures and intervene when observing unsafe acts or behaviours.
DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION
•Understanding delivery schedule
•Able to understand technical drawings
•Sequential buildability & constructability
•In depth knowledge and ability to undertake the static build, understand the mechanical equipment in an offshore gas operating environment
•Specifically with the following experience, preventive safety and repairs;
•All Technical Aspects of Scaffolding
•Working on a live plant (Brownfield)
•Working at Height & Harness Training
•Can read and interpret technical scaffolding designed drawings and communicate with discipline lead and team members / operations
•Demonstrate experience in health and safety behaviours within similar environment. Commitment to HSE policies and practices
•Physically fit and able to undertake work under pressure of schedule.
QUALIFICATION:
•Mandatory: CITB Advance Scaffolder & Inspector
•Mandatory: National Construction Collage or NVQ
•BOSIET
•Similar facility experience (10 years)
•Worked offshore rotations an advantage
•Previous experience working in the Middle East an advantage
•Scaffolding Inspector, Assessor & Verifier an advantage
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
•Good spoken and written English
•Ability to work within a team and demonstrate a motivated approach
•Ability to interact and develop working relationships with team members and contractors
•Experience in working within a multi-cultural environment
