Correct Teeside you need to stay out for a full year otherwise you are still liable for income tax.

Not bad then Andy 53 grand for 6 months work.

It’s not really 6 months’ work as you work 84 hr. a wk. offshore, so on a 4 wk. cycle you’re working 336 hrs. , so at the end of the day its 53000 a yr.

You have to be out of the UK-186 days a yr. and be able to prove it so you won’t pay tax.

Thats right 90 days spent in the UK. If you work its one day.

I have never looked at it like that jonnybegood. If offshore I just considered it as a day after all many times working on the beach you can put in a lot more than 12 hours with travel etc.
