Scaffolders urgently required - Essex/Suffolk/Norfolk areas
work mainly sites, some private, in Bury St. Edmunds, Sudbury, Hadleigh and Norwich, Colchester.
part 2's no trainees or labourers, self employed must have own transport and PPE. 7.30 to 4.00 (39 hour week). £110 a day.
Contact Alan on 07970 614051(if answer machine please leave number.

Back to the Jason Gibbs argument we had over a year ago, How do you know what the going rates are in Norwich/ Skipton etc mate? Same as Leeds, 110 to 120 is about average. This ain't a London job.

Good job you don't see grimsby scaffold jobs lmao going rate for part 2 bout 80 to 90 a day now that's a **** take !!!!!!!

the going rate in Norwich is £90 a day tops so I think £110 is very reasonable especially as some firms you are in lorries leaving yards before 7.00 and not back until after 4.30
plus if scaffs do not think this is enough money they do not have to answer advert

I Know Self Employed Scaffolders That Are Earning £85-90 A Day So Its About Reasonable, Everyone Of Us Wants To Earn As Much As Possible For Our Labour And Why Not? But Right Now The Moneys Just Not In Some Jobs, In Case All The London Scaffs Have Maybe Forgotten The Construction Industry Is On Its Arse Right Now, Id Rather Be Earning £90 A Day Than Nothing Gents.

no its not enough money but needs must and u no that so thats takin the pish

You're better off working in a supermarket than grafting all day for that pittance.

london isnt the holy grail at the mo agencys offering 14 pound an hour ffs

No it's not cash in hand, lol 6 nights a week, self employed, so only 20% tax.
I'm on Crossrail in central London.
Only bad thing is, gotta do 12hrs, no choice at the moment, as its 12hr shifts.

So about 1300 after tax? You must be an advanced for sure MM. No one would pay that for a part 2.
No early darts or getting yer heed down for a few hours?

If you are doing 12 hours a day 4.5 hours are overtime at time and a half (if working for a good company) so the rate is not as good as it sounds about the same as a get on PAYE, van and full holiday pay plus I get a quarterly bonus as a site supervisor

Part 2's paid the same as advanced mate, on this job anyway,
No early darts, as its bell to bell, but i only live 15 mind ftim thr job.
we can get out head down.

You must be an advanced as well goulda? No one would employ a part 2 in a position of responsibility let alone giving them a van as well.

Unbelievable. Whats the point of getting the top qualification only to be paid the same as less qualified?
Division 3 players will be wanting premier league wages next.

£22.50 for each hour as its overtime. £270 a shift
You can tell yourself it's not good goulda, but that's great money if you ask me,
I'm 15/20 mins from the job, come in do my bit and go home,
as you said your a supervisor, and you get no where near that.

I know, can't understand it myself, but if Bam nuttall want to pay that, I'm sure the only people that will complain are the gold card holders,
As long as I get mine, and I do,
I'm not to fussed what they pay our part 2's.
Good luck to them I say.

I am part 2 and all scaffolders on PAYE are given a van which also can be used for private use if needs must - I think you job must be a good one as I know scaffs in NE Essex working in London for eight hour shifts plus a minimum 5 hours travelling for £140 a day s/e and own transport

Mate, I was on farringdon station before this job,for 18 months, for stanfords,
doing 10hr nights,
getting £300 a shift, the money is there, it's just on the railways, and it was PAYE.
