Hi Mate

Are you by any chance working in Wa at the minute ?

I am heading over in January with the family and have a mate there who says it it pretty easy to find work FIFO . Is that the case ? I am a supervisor but will obv work on tools if needed

Wouldn't mind doing some FIFO and some work in town so that I can still see the kids , and to a certain degree, The wife He He

Any advice ?

Its not as easy to find FIFO work as people think. There are long recruitment procedures and waiting time. You MUST have work references. They will check these then someone else will check again to make sure its genuine.
You should be sounding out CB&I, MAS and Leightons now mate.
 
Work is bit quiet for FIFO at the minute mate,should pick up in new year though.I just left Port Hedland yesterday doing a 3 week stint.Just prepare yourself for the heat co
its bloody hot up there.

Yeah I know it gets hot , I worked up in MT Isa in northern QLD in 95 & 96 . **** me that was savage . Ok after a couple weeks though . I have already sent all my details off to the bigger firms and some of the recruitment agencies . Arrive in Oz February , hopefully will be working by end of March ?
