No, the NVQ is exactly what it stands for National Vocational Qualification. Scotland has SVQ. NVQ is not recognised in any country just the same as BS/EN is not recognised in Australia/New Zealand where they work to Aus/NZ standards.

It might mean you are competent only because CISRS says it does. But if someone can't do the job or is too scared to do the job then he is incompetent no matter what they say.

Your nvqs are recognised in a lot of countries...cards are worth sh1te...not sure which one though hswt.....some bloke down the pub told me this so its cast iron true !:embarrest:

"National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) are vocational awards in England & Wales (In Scotland they are known as Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ)) that are achieved through assessment and training. They are practical qualifications based on being able to do a job. There are five levels of NVQ, ranging from Level 1, which focuses on basic work activities, to Level 5 for senior management."

Are NVQ's recognised in Scotland?

NVQs are accepted in N.Zealand ,
