Can there not be a job section just for agencies?all they seem to do is collect names,that way we can check proper jobs first
You dont need a different section for agencies, just boycott them all.
We need to get a petition on hear with every Scaff in the county & send this to the GOV.org as this is affecting everyone, They only want to use umbrella companies for your tax & in return you give up all your rights, They can & do get shot of you at the end of the hr of the day without notice, But it's not just these agencies at folt it's the companies that are give them the contracts, They are both making big money apart from us, They get away with not paying the digs & this is something the Goverment pays for we need to get this stopped!!!!!!

It's the Scaffs that need to unite, Together we can stop this & evan if that means this forum not making as much money from them being on it???? This forum is for us, The agencies are just for profit!!!!!!
Glad to see I'm not alone.its not right a hard working man should have to pay to get his wages.or wait on the phone call that never comes due to the lying agency **** just want to look good by having loads of names in his book

Isnt the forum a business then? What about the SCCR is that a business or a registered charity?

It's the goverment's fault,they've created the loopholes for agencie's to exist with hardball employment laws which are loaded in the employees favour,it's just too convenient for firms to use agencie's as when they see fit and from the firms point of view,no strings attached.
The employment laws so complex,and yet these umbrella companies flourish. needs a united front from all in the building trade to petition and challenge. Wont happen evryones too lethargic to put up a fight. People like Phil sniping at the sccr,who are trying to challenge one cun.t sitting in an office or standing on a pulpit telling the majority you cant do that. eictb a good example.
Where have you seen a Scaffolder's Union frequenting this Forum embracing profits from agency and sub contract labour?

A non profit making organisation every penny received goes towards keeping the SCCR running.
Any member that would like a breakdown of income and expenditure should contact the SCCR directly not through an open Forum, if you're not a member and a blinkered supporter of all things NASC go play with Rob3rt.

employers dont want to deal with your tax or pay employers national insurance contributions , they'd rather pay an agency over the odds

talkins all we can do richiedry , and people are right to protect themselves and stay in a job , it's only in the last few years that it came out about major contractors colluding and compiling lists of people who stick up for our rights , this led to a list of 3000 men in britain who were stopped from getting on jobs

maybe when a scaff gets a job with an agency , then goes to job the next day and falls , then the HSE see his harness was not meeting requirements and he has no public liabity insurance , maybe something like that would see a crackdown on the agencies and maybe help change whats going on but that was 3 maybe's so thats asking a lot
