Brogan scaffolding

The sun has scorched the tarmac and they are having to re lay it. Been pushed back to 6pm now. By the time I get going they won't let me on anyway as I've had 3 pints in half an hour already

******* when the sun melts the tarmac.I was going to pop over to Bahrain as its only 30min flight from Doha but flights are cancelled due to snow and ice.

can I put my name down for the Brazil job?

Morning scaffs. Any1 looking 4 work in London, give brogans a call their looking 4 men in central London. Their paying £120 part 2s. They now do cis or paye. 02083628409

whats happened to all the foreigners you brought over!
7months and you will have another batch

Lager is cheaper in Copenhagen than in Singapore and Dubai. Still your 40 quid a day wont go far there. Have you got the missus with you as I heard the hookers are pricey?

I live in a country where beer is among the cheapest in the world and work in a country where it is among the most expensive. Bizarre??

Always heard bad things about Brogan, and they were the first to use Eastern European labour.... But hey ho a job is a job...

Seriously £150 in Dorset, always led to believe there was no work down west, just a few big companies and thus hard to get a start.

U lot make me laugh so much...its not what you think you're worth its about what you're willing to work for- pride is a wonderfull thing but wont keep a roof over your head or food on the table..... for many guys out there £120 is the average wage...i think some of you think your on par with pro footie players- u do nuts & bolts up for a living ffs not rocket science & if u dont want the job , than dont apply- one thing all you so called big earners need to realise that with your attitutes it wont be long before you price yourself outta work- you'll then be moaning when the eastern europeans take em

I think years ago when scaffolders went out every morning and just done what ever needing doing they could more dictate there worth , it seems these days that lads think because they done a course then they are worth x amount no matter how much work they produce ,
there is a bit more to it then just doing up nuts Southern , or at least there used to be , good lads are worth good money no mater what ticket they hold , and like wise to ssers aint worth nothing ;)

Cisrs tickets ain't worth the plastic they are printed on.
I know a advanced who has been in the game 4 years!!!

love seeing gaffers views on stuff as souther says you can be pricing your self out of work but look at it this way the eastern europians to use are your man with a van cutting your cloths a bit smaller theres jobs you would knock back coz pick up and a bit of gear had priced along side of ya you wouldnt entertain it so why should the scaffs personally i am on a really **** wage but its all that there is up here (until wensday)

phil do you think you allways give them a fair price do you think there worth say 140 a day but fek it ill try 130 ..... we know you gaffers are tighter than a subs door :laugh:

Lolo i think i kinda understand u marra but what i ment was not at contract level.....yes sure some are entering the market but not really on big jobs ....i ment as labour-in the times we are all cutting the cloth as u say but we have to lower overheads to keep in with a chance. Maybe not with the bigger companies but for the smaller ones with limited cashflow certainly- its not unusual to take a job @ cost just to keep the guys working... in this senario who do u employ the £150 aday man or the £120..... personally i would never employ non uk workers but thats just me. But people do & on lower wags...and yes they do get the work but i can assure you their profit margin is very low because theie tender had to be
