I need a scaffolder for my growing business. Here are a list of requirements that you must have.

1-A scaffold ticket , part 2 or advanced and not a big portfolio for me to fill in
2-A driving licence with your name on it.
3-A CIS card in your name.
4-The ability to speak English and not some vauge interpretation of it.
5-You must have transport to get to work
6-You must be polite when you get to work
7-You must actually have an understanding of scaffolding and the h & s requirements
8-You need to treat scaffolding as your primary scource of income and turn up every day, remember drug dealing is not a job

In return I can promise a good rate of pay, lots of variation in the work we do, and no building sites with Bricklayers on them (big plus in my book)Weekend work, some night work decent gear to work with (no system) and a boss (me) who turns up everyday and works with you. There will be some days when you hate it but most of the time its good fun but hard work and a good laugh.

The area you need to get to is Stamford in Lincolnshire so if you think you a somebody who fits the bill give me a call.

are you paying digs.:wondering:
No I was thinking of building a bespoke house for the right applicant. You know the sort of thing , tropical fish lounge, pot noodle bar, snorting parlour that kind of thing. It would probably work out cheaper than digs in the long run+ you'd get to sell the furniture and fittings to the pikeys for beer money......good idea ?

will it have a garden with a hot tub - if it does, I might start. can't tommorrow, though, one of my rabbits died last week and it's the funeral!

Oh yea I'd forgotten about that, maybe i'll ask the client if he wouldn't mind building whatever it is he's building at the end of the yard next to the hot tub so I can save on travel costs.that way you could slide out of the tub (when your fingers get wrinkled) and maybe do a bit before being paid loads of money (cash obviously £20 notes of course)...good plan ?

Russ, either I will have to come and work with you or if you can find someone like your advert tell me your secret.

Leaving aside the drugs thing, the digs thing , the company van and fuel card thing, does anyone out there fit the criteria ?

What you offering for the right candidate??? per hour that is??

Don't want to turn this into another list but what about........

9) Must be able to work on an island with a very restricted number of hoteliers willing to put up scaffs without getting tanked up and telling the locals how it is.

AOM there is no such person but I live in hope. Is it too much to ask that a person who claims to be a scaffolder could treat scaffolding as a serious job that you need to be at , 5 days a week? Phil and I wrote the list "things you need to be to be a scaff" however I didn't realise until I had my own company what a shower of sh*t most scaffolders are these days. Wife break ups, csa disputes, drink driving bans, rude to customers, monday club , friday club, endless subs, paid on thursdays, paid on Wednesdays, paid into different accounts to swerve the csa, name changes by deed poll, the list goes on..........!!!!!!!!!!! ALL I WANT IS A DECENT RELIABLE BLOKE WHO CAN PUT UP SCAFFOLDING FOR DECENT WAGES 5 DAYS A WEEK AND WHO CAN DRIVE .
