You need to have a H&S supervisor qualification such as the touch screen or safety passport at supervisor level before you attend the CISRS supervisor course . Its the H&S qualification that actually gives the course credibility :nuts:
 
Havent done the touchscreen test in last 2 yrs,hope i havent dropped a bollock booking the course,sure the bloke said i can do the test while i am doing the course in order to send of for the ticket.:worried:

I had a cscs supervisor card when I did the cisrs supervisor course and that was enough to get the card, if you haven't passed a supervisor touch screen you will need to do another test ,its only £17 so I wouldn't worry and I think you can do it after you do the course anyway, the lads on my course hadn't done a touch screen test for a supervisor and they were still on the course.

hey guys i no that if ring ring train to gain you can registre for £50 quid and then do your courses through them beats payin out a grand a course !!!:D

i have just left uskmouth power an moved back to midlands,as work was drying up an interserve took over from vange!!!! they said we were promised 28 days but guess what 7 days later 8 been kicked grrrrr. so i took a job back in midlands,short of jumped before pushed. money not good lost quite a bit a week after being on a bag of sand,but does anyone no off an projects or powerstaion work around that the goverment has not pulled funding on ??? be good to get a reply

hi phill1973.rang train to gain in may this year.i believe there in blackburn.if its the same
one they quoted me 750 plus vat for each course.50 quid sounds to good to be true
but.50 would be nice m8.

Get the dole office to pay for your course,tell them it will get you back to work in no time at all lay it on abit but i know a few ppl that got there cisrs that way mate

Never signed on in my life and at 42 not starting now:wacko: Will weather this out for as long as possible after that will have to have look at a change of career. Its the principle of the tkt now. im not willing to go to college with kids that dont know there arse from there elbow and take over 3 years to achieve a tkt that ive been doing for 15 years.:mad: Its not just the cost, i happen to have a bit of pride about myself and not willing to swallow it for this. Sorry thats just the way i am:notrust:

Right on , you were good enough then and your good enough now.Besides half of those people changing the rules are failed no nothing scaffs who couldn't make a living on the tools and have decided to cock everbody else's way of life up to justify their own jobs.

was told today that dss funding has now been with drawn , not sure as yet how true this is but was told it was 2 wweks ago....since when did the nasc join the torries.....
 
so have l read this right any scaff thats got a ticket without a nvq has got to do the training again

Hi bomber. you want to speak to Paddy Carr about this one. Any tkt without a nvq attached to it wont be renewed in 2012 but hes the man to speak to and can give u advice. good luck m8:worried:

Thats not true lads, if you completed your training before 1996 and have "Industry accredited"stamped on the back of your card, you do not need to do an NVQ to keep the card after 2012,I was told this by a manager at the CISRS they hadn't heard of any changes in the offing either, I have asked them to put it in writing.
 
reading back on my situation in this thread, i have been supported an completed my part one , with the help of SHAW TRUST, linked to PATHWAYS a back to work scheme, people say that it feels good if you pay for your own ticket , but all i have to say on that is .. i,ve paid my taxes for many years , so jus getting a little back is the way i see it . HAPPY DAYS..
 
it always feels better when someone else pays for it

My little brother was born there in 1971.I've put up a bit of scaffolding there over the years for various company's. Good luck any way, don't worry about the nvq thing.

cheers m8 got me abit worried there feel sorry for the lads that have got to do there training again l paid for all three course,s there would be no way of me paying or doing them again
