was wondering how do u get info on wot jobs tht are happening around the world u no i,ve heard of people working in russia,kazikstan iraq how do u find out about these jobs would,nt mind trying sumthing like that is there any1 been offered work in afganistan how much would it take 4 u to contemplate that 1

I certainly wouldnt fancy Iraq or Afghanistan. Its bad enough having to walk around all day with spanners, harnesses, hard hats and steelies without the additional designer bullet-proof vest to match. I wish you luck in your quest.

loads of jobs in the Gulf for brits, just need to sort your cv mate and get online and search, Kuwait and Iraq have a lot of big projects this year so good luck

Id also really like to experience working away in other countries.

Would working Offshore for one of the Aberdeen-based Firms like Cape/RBG Rigblast or Salamis be a good place to start?

You know to build a 'database' of numbers and contacts and stuff?

To be honest Jason I did all the offshore stuff but only went overseas when the Berlin wall came down and there was a boom in Germany. Then ended up in Gulf then a few other places now Australia.
It really is all about contacts and doing a good job at the time.Companies soon forget but the people you meet on the overseas jobs dont.
