I would be phoning this number and double checking that it's all legit, before sending any C.V. and when I clicked on the website address here, I just got : Bad request (Invalid hostname).

Has anyone checked if the rates are in Sterling?

If you were to travel mid-Jan, then you'd need to have the first of the inoculations on Monday!

Any ideas what 'FAVOURABLE UK TAX CONCESSIONS' means? - Nope, nor do I.

Camp accomodation is probably ok for a couple of days if you're 10 and in the Cubs. It probably gets a bit tiresome if you're an adult who's working 12 hours a day, 7 days a week in a hot, uncomfortable enviroment, doing scaffolding.

Good luck to the lads who are going for it, but it doesn't sound like a very attractive offer to me...

I think favourable UK tax concessions means you will be tax free as long as you dont return to work in UK for a full tax year after you start. maybe Bettertax can shed some light on it Phil.
Its a long way to go for a grand a week and the prossies are too pricey.

Yeah it's rubbish money for what sounds like a horrible job - but I didn't want to be that harsh! :D
 
the only fella whos do alright in africa is attenbrough filming wilderbeast getting leged by anything thats hungry on the serengeti sounds **** lads correct me if am wrong works out about 14quid an hr you may as well get shafted inyour own backyard atleast when your hungry you can slap the bacon under the grill or go in the back yard and butcher a buffallo your choice.

A mate of mine is out in Africa, not sure if its the same job but they`r minning for Iron and he`s a truck driver out there. Says theres loads of brits out there and a couple of years work so could be the same job. He`s at SieraLeon.
 
For £2000 a week i might actually try to do a days work.
Instead of Labouring for everyone else, like usual and dossing as much as possible.

I have worked out there, check what security will be in place ,it can be dodgy
 
App the job is in siera Leon I phoned them because the e-mail didn't work so they told me to change the name on the address to Tom f and it went through but had no reply as they promised.
 
Not enough money being offered for the conditions you will be working in, the women might be on offer but isnt Africa where AIDS originated, rather your d1ck than mine LOL

I know more then 1 thing can get built at a time, but 2 massive jobs requiring overseas workers, with long stints of work?

I wonder... is it the same job? :wondering:
 
My mates not staying long thought, say`s its too hot with all the PPE and the aircon dont work in the truck. They share a cabin, hut or whatever, room to each side and bog n shower inbetween. Obviously the job is legit if its the same job I`ll ask him next time he`s home if they have scaffs out there.

He"s full of **** mate!........He was recruiting for another company some years ago - an I got the run around fom him - "call me back Mon. "....then you cant get in touch with him,or he"s out the office,etc...pain in the arse mate....
 
So just collecting cv's then ?
Well as per his job post it's for the mid jan so he will have to tell people before Xmas if injections are needed
