Midge

are you refering to PUTLOGS when you say Pudlocks

Putlog scaffold

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Scaffolding_Waverley_Station.jpg
As well as putlog couplers there are also putlog tubes,

these have a flattened end or have been fitted with a blade. This feature allows the end of the tube to be within or rest upon the brickwork of the structure.

They can be called a bricklayer's scaffold and as such consist only of a single row of standards with a single ledger, the putlogs are transoms - attached to the ledger at one end but integrated into the bricks at the other.

Spacing is as general purpose scaffold and ties are still required.

You must have to be the ******** to work in refineries/ powerstations lol

So thats just short of 800 quid per week before tax seeing as you do 70 hours which is 2 weeks work in my book.

If you think 680 is good for a travling man for 4 weeks work then your a Mong !!!!!

When was the last time you spent any length of time out of work struggling to buy the bairn a new bonnet ? Take the PAYE option via the umbrella tax system getting weekly tax breaks on your expenses such as digs and travel and your take home (the bit that matters) on £17 ph for 40hrs wouldn't be far short of £600 with your NI stamp paid .

Mongs me thinks not !

**** off miller

And haveaspanner that's aweek not a month havnt most of you really wanted to earn the money that is out there ???

And as "have spannner will travel" has pointed out, 70 hours a week is nearly two weeks in one, so he's correct to work it out at £800 pw gross. have to admit, when i was a contracts manger in london, the power station men we employed in the street, were just "timekeepers". I actually shied away from employing them.

I suppose its not bad for someone who has only been in the game 12 years like you Midge.
Used to earn that when you got your first spanner.

Your Right about the men ( not all) who chase the blue book jobs, are timekeepers who always moan or dodge work, haven't a clue about scaffolding.
