Today we were using layher with a couple of germans and we set out with the base collar as the norm which cause a argument, apparently in Germany they don't use them anyone else seen this they just t use the standard straight on the jack?

If the design says they have to be there then they have to be there. Unless layher tell you it's ok I would keep them in
