the hse imposed a prohibition on a scaffold contracter (non nasc memeber).
about a particular type of steel pole ladder after a report from falling from height.the ladder had no type of grip which was in breach of the provision of work equipment regs 1998.

We've been informed about this problem,fortunately all of ours have the grooves in them, but what about wooden pole ladders,there are no grooves in any of these are there??
Think you'll find the correct procedure for climbing a ladder is by holding the stiles not the rungs. There is a reason for this, mud, oil, grease,etc can be left on the rungs so cant be considered a safe hand hold, even with gloves.
The groves are for non slip foot hold.
