Evening all! Bit of a random one, joined this forum years ago 2013 (not a clue why I picked username haha)but never posted. Been a nurse for around ten years but wanting a career change into scaffolding, an itch Iv always had and now a the time to try. I’m 28 now so keen to get cracking and not shy of hard work and graft. What’s the best way to try to get employment? Online Job applications etc or old school going to yards and talking to folk in charge? I’m based between Leeds and Manchester so surrounded by firms. I also have a class2 liscence which I’m hoping will go in my favour! Any advice?
Cheers

Get your cscs and cots course sorted before you start looking for a job.

3D scaffolding where looking for a class 2 driver, may be a foot in the door.

Speak to a training centre they can introduce you to companies looking for apprentices

If you don’t mind punishing your body 8 to 10 hours a day, dealing with narcissistic supervisors and Contractors Managers, putting your life a risk at times , sustaining minor and hopefully not major injuries and having to work in all weathers…… then this is the job for you.
