    Default Working at height advice

    Hi all,

We have been receiving some emails recently regarding working at height and hoped you would be able to help out other Scaffolders Forum members!

What height is considered to be working at height?

What height do you need to wear a harness?

What height do you need scaffolding?

    Thanks - SF Admin

1, Work at height is where you can be injured if you fell from that place (Above or below ground level) so any height really..

2, A harness should be worn when there is no other fall protection/prevention available ie: no guardrails so again any height as it could be fall restraint or fall arrest that could be used

3, Scaffolding is required when no other suitable piece of kit can be used ie: working on a roof from a ladder, scaffolding would be a more practical solution plus the requirement of collective protection rather than personal protection

    Hope this helps
