Who? Seems like nobody knows why though?

Why would you put a check double on a layher system standard? It would make zero difference

when the System is designed to hold weight via the rosette or cup?

Also ive worked all over the world and why in Aus, they still don't understand how / why check fittings go in certain places, you tell them and they try act all smart, next thing they're putting check fittings on a basic independent ledger bracing...

Does anyone have any basic drawings checks - information i can slam all over the work canteen to drill these boys?

Ive told them don't mix tube and fitting with System, cause its a total different ball game when working with tube!
You need to get out more, mate.

Checks on hangers are a back up to a failure.
The only thing keeping you in the air is your support coupler, should your support coupler fail for whatever reason then you have a catastrophic failure the check is there to prevent that.
The same logic would apply to system irrespective of the system.
Your coupler is load tested as is you rosette or cup, tested to differing values but if hanging off the top of Nat West tower and a check makes you that little bit safer way not put it in.

Tube with system is not as big an issue as popular belief would suggest. Cup[lok has had tube and fitting braces since day one.
Its how and where you use it that matters.
