Has the collapse of this outfit affected anyone on here
Maybe not directly but it does have a knock on effect.
Hopefully not Brother Scaffs

Well we have just had the hardest January in years to get money in and everyone saying the same thing they cannot get money in to pay us. So In affect it's probably had a massive domino affect right through the construction industry. Even to the extent of each time we log into our online banking there is a screen asking if we have been affected by Carillion's collapse at all.

It's time to start making lemonade guys.

Carillion has collapsed but their work is still to be completed by someone. Scaffold managers/estimators should be following the disaster trail back to see who will be awarding the new contracts with a view to picking up work from the slack in Carillions collapse.
Those of you who may have materials locked in to Carillion sites should be preparing hire invoices (fully reserved) for the materials the liquidators have on site. (They will not be paid but it will pressure them into some action).
Un-paid bills from Carillion will never be paid to you, but monies owed by companies still operating you need to chase up on a daily basis for the sake of keeping your own liquidity intact. The final pill, and the hardest of all, is to be realistic with your wage bill. Your scaffolders must be paid but it should only be for output not for just putting in an appearence. On Monday morning I will be on the Phone again to project surveyors and sub-contract account departments around the country finding how much is coming out and when, its what we all have to do. Good luck guys.
