Pricing Shoring work

What are the methods of pricing shoring apart from guestimating how many man hours ?

How long is a piece of string?? What you shoring? The weight is going to dictate the amount of kit in the job. I tend to advise a design is commissioned first, then they can get any competing companies to price to the same spec "obviously my engineer can provide this services for you sir!" ( you'll at least get your mark up then on the deisgn then) then i'll price it on what the engineer draws, either per fitting or per standard of estimated time to erect and dismantle, depending what's involved. If they won't pay for the design to be done up front, you deffo need some feedback from your engineer, or you'll end up catching a cold when the design lands and he's put twice as much kit in it than you were expecting. Been there, bought that heavy barsteward t-shirt!
