HMRC demands £1m from scaffolder – over £11,000 unpaid tax

Didn't realise they went around taking note of peoples signs, luckily I pay all my taxes! :-D

For any of those out there that think contract scaffolding is exempt of full vat be aware and take note!

Their calculations were wrong but the guy still got caught.

Always charge and pass on vat, if the main contractor is exempt he can and will reclaim the money back from HMRC.
