We do them 3' apart so 3 to a sheet! N normally just eye them in n waffles normally always go on!! How do u do them like?

What ever the desighn shows & depending on both the length of you tin as well as its guauge but tbh normally do it the same steve

The over hang should be at least 150mm past the top and bottom purlins and at least two ridges overlap under the waffles on the sides. Then just do what poofter said and comply with the drawing....if you have one of course

usually 3 per sheet never use sleeves on your purlins always use spiggots and cut the bolt off saves you splicing and wont mess your wrigley fittings up the pins will knock out after small price to pay to get the job done quicker scc

We allways use pins, but never felt the need to cut the bolt off- newone on me that lol- tbh if your wiggle line runs into your joiners & sods law sez it will then we just offset the fitting by 1 wiggle on a complete row & this is normally all thats needed.
But gotta be honest we have done our 1st ubix roof & i just cant see us goin back to tin now

Dunno mucker never had to charge for a haki but i wouldnt imagine the cost have that much differnce theyre both systems after all- to me the saving between tin & ubix was significant in both timescale & not needing cranage

I'm still using tins have never had a chance to try any system roofs, always thought the outlay would be far greater than tins?

I spose its like anything specialist it depends on how many you do to make it viable to purchade but due to the high cost most people hire it in & charge it to the contractor

We've got 5 roofs lined up at the moment but like I said it mainly comes down to outlay as we're only a one gang company!

Priced a 24m square UBIX roof up to buy last year, inc. all the 780mm beams, sheets and the full works. Was going to be up a year so though might be worth having a go at buyin one. £46,500 + the dreaded. So its a bit dear, but there's no 2nd hand kit knocking about, and that was inc. £11,000 of UBIX beams, so you could use your own if ya got them. Unfortunately job never came off, so never bought any. but the UBIX roof system is the fckin bollox, you can lace the bays up your self with the horizontal braces, well quick! The kadar sheeting rails are a lot easier to slide and position than the haki and layer equivalents.

That seams a lot for 24msq u sure u got ur maths right - the one i just did was close to 500msq & it wasnt far off what u were quoted

24m long x 24m span =576m sq. Price is right i'm looking at the quote from UBIX. Like is said that was for their 780 beams as well, 66 beams at £11,000.

Lol misunderstood your opening post sente sqnce as it said 24m square i thought that was total not the 24m x 24m that u just said lol....shoulda said total in the 1st place lol.
What about ur sheets though i payed nearly 10k for them

Ha Ha Ha Ha, that's just you bloody southerners and your silly squares!! :D

For us up north if something is 24m sq, that means its a square......thats 24m long and wide. lol

Think it worked out about £25 linear m for 2.57 kedar sheets from UBIX ( give or take a few pence)

Generation worked out very roughly about £10 per linear m, as best i can work it out

I can't find the Price from ITP but it worked out cheaper than generation if i remember rightly, but it was only pence again.

Not bought any for ages, cause i've got a bit of it in if i do any roofs, so it might be all different again!

Everdently theres different grades of the sheeting & how many times you can reuse it...big investment i nearly cried when we snaged a sheet
