NEWS: CISRS Appeal Process Changes

CISRS will be changing its appeal process from April 1st 2015 – meaning those wishing to make an appeal based on holding an “old style” card will be required to successfully complete the appropriate CISRS skills test based upon the card they previously held.
This means, for example, a one day skills test will need to be carried out for a scaffolder, or a two day skills test for an advanced scaffolder, prior to a card being issued.
The skills test needs to take place with a CISRS approved training provider and the acceptance of their initial appeal submission would need to be supported with all additional relevant information, e.g. CV, letter from employer, medical records etc.
Furthermore, those who have since moved into a management or supervisory role and are no longer actively engaged in the erection/dismantling of scaffold will be advised to undertake the CISRS five day Scaffolding Supervisory/Management, or appropriate CISRS Scaffold inspection Training Scheme (SITS) course, complete the relevant H&S test or recognised exemption and apply for a CISRS Supervisor or Inspection card.
CISRS Scheme Manager, Dave Mosley said: “All those involved in scaffolding need to be aware of the changes and take responsibility for them from the stat date of April 1st 2015.”
A list of approved training providers who can offer the CISRS skills test can be found at: Training Providers | CISRS - the industry recognised scaffold training scheme.
For further details about changes to CISRS card schemes and courses, training changes following the introduction of TG20:13, information and dates on courses available, a list of approved training providers, or to find out more about CISRS, please visit CISRS or email enquiries@cisrs.org.uk.

How does this effect the “International Oversea’s CISRS cards” now been issued from the oversea’s training centre's that Mr Mosley is backing so heavily.

Freaking awesome news, some of the best scaffs I ever met were given cards back in the day,to make them start again was nothing but a money making scam.
