We require Scaffold Inspectors and Scaffolders but NO TRAINEES to start work on 18th December 2014 in Aberdeen.

Accommodation and food are paid for, good rates of pay, work over Christmas and into the New Year.

Spoke to them, says there waiting for rates to be confirmed but the bank holidays is double time plus 3.05 a hour site bouns and 125 a day in top as an incentive the rest of the time is just normal rate for 8 hours and time and a half for Ya last 2 hours each day

No work after the 5th so Ya basically Ya just cover for the regulators to have xmas at home
 
DO NOT TAKE THIS JOB, scaffolding supervision and inspectors are in dispute on Shetland gas plant, you will effectively be crossing a picket line and will be a scab.

I'm glad you've posted and made people like myself aware.. i was due to fly out Thursday for 3 weeks, unaware of any disputes between fellow Scaffolders and purely thought it was genuine Xmas cover for Scaffolders to be with there families over Xmas.... I will be calling Forefront tomorrow and withdrawing my apceptance to the job, and i hope other scaffolders who are due to goto this job see this post and do the same. It might get your foot in the door, make a few pound and maybe become permanent but its more Important we keep the solidarity between the lads!
 
Eye am on it pal put on notice today there's also dispute with main contractor and client which seems to be a smoke screen for all this although the main contractor are down manning 75% according to roumers never heard of an agency cumin in while people are in dispute on their notice or payed off I will find out more tomorrow and post then but I would think very seriously if you are thinking about this lads

It is about time that all agencies especially those who consider themselves as specialist recruiters to the scaffolding industry started to thoroughly check out jobs before sending people to them.
Not only in possible labour relation cases such as this but also to check that there are adequate facilities and safety standards in place.

couldnt agree more, tho forefront seem to be a popular agency for scaffs.
possibly oblivious to the dispute going on. How many scaffs have signed up not knowing theres a bit of a problem.
