Been asked to look at a large encapsulation job on a temporary building independent of any other structure, loads of options available out in the market these days but it seems that

Shrink wrap is too perfect, doesn't let go in time in high winds

Monarflex let's go too early and is always needing patching

Keder costs too much

there's a moveable rolling roof on the top to round it off

the temp building is 210 ft long 90 ft inside span and 80 ft to underside of lowest point.

obviously lots of kentledge, other than that

any ideas???

Why don't you drill into the ground and tie it that way with anchors and ring bolts or even better thunder bolts. Enough of these and a hurricane won't shift it.

Fred,

design isn't a recognised statutory requirement down here and the same as up your way its always the scaffolders that work up a concept and the engineers check and draft the rest.

Id shrink wrap it and drill it into the concrete, be the cheapest and best option.

On another thread,it was stated shrinkwrap deflects the wind, designers on here never challenged that theory, might be the way to go

shrinkwrap, anchor the roof down with wires to the concrete and have buttresses with kentledge.Plan brace evry second lift up to the last

if you think it needs it THEN IT PROBABLY DOES;)
