Hey guys!

We have some clients from the scaffs forum who we have been trying to get in touch with for the last 3 months or so.

Chris has asked me to just flag it up here in case emails or numbers have changed.

It is fine if you have made alternate arrangements regarding your tax but if you have not done your tax return this year - even if its a nil expenses return - you could start facing fines and penalties after 31st January. I know that seems a long way off but, well, there's a few big events on the way to it.

If HMRC have you registered for self-assessment tax returns, they will want one from you... until you tell them otherwise.

If you are a client of ours that is still registered for self-assessment and has not done a tax return this year, DO please call the office on the number below, ASAP! If you are not sure if you need to do one or not, call us anyway.

You could well be entitled to some tax back too - handy for Xmas.

Cheers!

Sorry for not catching this earlier, Den...

As PAYE you can claim back tax on any allowed work related expenses, that can also be proven - by way of receipts, bank statements, mileage logs etc etc.

Do you use your own vehicle to get to different sites? Or pay for transport? What about tools, clothing (uniform)... ever have to do over night stays, get meals (for extra long working hours)?

If you think any of these things could apply, give Chris a quick call. He can tell you straight away if you can make a claim of not :).

BUMP!!!!

If you still haven't got in touch with us you could face HMRC fines of £100 +. Deadline day is 31st January.

If you no longer qualify for self-assessment, you still need to let us/ HMRC know. If you don't want to have us help you any more, that's fine... just let us know anyway.

Thanks!
