Basic Scaffold Fixer required Heathrow

System used is tube and fit scaffolding and the duties are the erecting and dismantling of temporary site structures. Items include hand rails, safety work, gantries, independent structures, bird cages and general access work on the construction of a new build Terminal at Heathrow and the refurbishment of existing Terminals. There will be internal works within the new terminal and external works on the building’s envelope, air bridges, car park and jetties.
This project is landside until November 2013 after which you will need to apply for an airside pass in order to continue on the snagging and extra works commissioned as a result of design variations and adjustments for the new tenants. Project completion is in June 2014.
Once the site is handed over it falls in the restricted zone of Heathrow Airport and you would require security clearance in line with DfT guidelines. For more information go to Heathrow: ID Centre | Airport identity pass

Contract of Employment working 5 days per week, with earnings paid on a bell-to-bell basis: Mon – Fri 07.30-16.00 (8hs x £13.00) £520 weekly gross
£407.79 weekly net with a normal PAYE Tax Code, additional holiday pay is 29 days per annum holiday pay paid pro rata. Benefits B&CE accident insurance & contributory pension scheme.

Upon airside commissioning candidates would be employed on a 60day initial period as full security clearance is checked. Over this period you would be escorted on/off the site by a member of staff with full clearance. Upon full clearance we can extend your contract until the project completes in April 2014 and you would be able to access site without an escort.

You must have: basic cisrs, photo ID, clean criminal record, be able to pass a D&A test, have a proof of address & substantial experience of tube & fit on commercial sites.

You must be able to pass a five year written reference check from no more than three employers if you have been employed. Alternatively if you have been self-employed please provide the contact details from your accountant or your HMRC tax returns.

On successful offer you will have to attend an induction and then start work the following Monday.

This is a contract of employment / contract for services and Hays operate as an Employment Business and licenced airside signatory for operating in the restricted zone of Heathrow. There are NO dig or travel subsidies. There is allocated parking on airport perimeter and a subsidised canteen. There is a limited smoking policy on site due to the proximity of aviation fumes and a strict clocking in/out system for the recording of hours for access/egress from site.

Due to the mass numbers of illegals in Britain, these days that is EXACTLY what they want or they will get fined up to 10k (apart from the DNA bit).
Having to show that you are elegible to work in a country you are born and bred is an absolute disgrace!

We have just done a job on a bank data centre and had to prove that all our guys were legit and legal to work in their own country. With that and the H&S it was a total nightmare of a job. We were not even allowed to lift our own gear. It cost them £1200 for a crane to lift our gear to the roof for edge protection!!!
 
Yes. Thats a crap wage for a weeks graft. Not even average in these times like.
Used to earn that by a friday morning in the early 90s, then off to the boozer to spend it all, ha.
 
Shiit money, shiit job.....give it kamran rajput and his many cousins....when they've got there wage they can buy a fecking one way ticket home...
