    Default advice needed.

    Hi guys i want a career in the scaffold industry im 23 years old.ive had experience on site before im a duct worker by trade and ive also had a dabble at steel erecting.
    Can anyone tell me the best route to go down to make a start on my career?

    Morn lee. with you being on site already you'll have your cscs card. You next step would be to ring round local firms to see if they require any trainee scaffs. the that way ypu've got your foot on the ladder.Once you've done 6 mths on site as a scaff lab you can apply for your trainee scaffs card and go for your part 1. 6 months after that your part 2.. At the moment lee your at that age when the government are dishing out 2 yr apprentaships, where you become qualified to a basic part 2. Good luck with your change in career, i started 17 yrs ago this yr and i've never looked back. and theres boys on here thats been doing it a hell of a lot longer.
