Hse banning gin wheels & ropes

I was reading that from the 1 jan 2014 the hse are stopping us from useing
"ginwheels & rope" to lift and lower scaffold materials, any body heard this??
they don't like you hand balling more than a couple of lifts on our site :laugh:
gona be intresting to see what they come up with if this gose ahead. :nuts::nuts::nuts:

Did you read that on scaffmag mate or on the HSE website?
 
they've been on about this for years now as the same as banning wooden ladders,joint pins etc. see if it happens ?

Banning rope & wheel! Fcuk me... What's the scaff world coming to?

It's real, and it's happening.

Jan 01 2014.

HSE bulletin said that there would be a £5000 on-the-spot fine for any scaffolder using a rope and gin wheel after that date.
