I was talking to my best mate yesterday who is a tower crane driver in Birmingham. Things have got that bad that the client now docks them time if they are winded off due to high winds.
So to not loose wages they are being forced to lift in extreme weather so it doesn't affect there wage packets.
The Contractor is J&H Hellam from Leicester.

What next having scaffolders working in electrical storms?

If your company is doing scaffold work on this site in Brum do me a favour and accidentally loose a 5ft on the owner of the company.

Isn't this the sort of things unions are supposed to help with?

Maybe worth a phone call to a union rep. Come to that the HSE might be interested in people being forced into working unsafely

most cranes have got black boxes now, so everything is recorded. if there is an accident, the company an the fella forcing him to do it, should b prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!

only if todger extends beyond average length of female index finger , if its a saftey man ,, no record available lol:laugh:
