Carribbean scaffold job (1 Viewer)

Suriname might be in the caribbean but its proper 3rd world . Worked out in Georgetown Guyana in the 80s Suriname was French Guyana. Must admit though probably the best place I ever worked.

Ian , thought suriname belonged to Holland at one time??

Now you mention it yes it was Dutch not French. It was 26 years ago when I was last out there based in Georgetown , only went to Suriname once the bloke .

Holland is full of Suriname people who used to hold dutch passports until independence came. They had a big party and woke up in the morning realising they didnt have Dutch passports anymore and no access to social security money either.

The bloke I worked for was married to the a politicians daughter who was from Suriname. I worked out there for south carib metals, wish I'd fecking stayed out there now :D . Got my first driving license out there cost $40 US . Bought it from a copper, when I came back to the UK managed to get away with using it as well, got pulled up a couple of times and just gave my guyanese address.
