In Birmingham friday workin next to a big new school bein thrown up and a national firm who started in Brum in the sixtys and who's MD is on the board of the NASC was doin the scaffold.As always a nice tidy job with good kit but it was about 5 lifts round steel frame all lifts boarded done outa readylok with no ledger bracing no plan bracing and the sway bracing only went across 1 bay.tut tut tut... Perhaps a case of do as we say and not as we do eh...
 
that national firm by any chance wouldnt have green and white colours

Readylok falls out of scope of TG20:08 so one would presume it was designed ......

As the Viking says it should be a design job, however, not sure what the benifit of boarding 5'0" lifts are?
Almost sure that there are H&S issues there. Safe access and egress What did the risk assesment look like? What say you Ian??
Unless the scaffold is progressive and the boards are left for the strike perhaps?

Nuffin wrong with 5'0 lifts when your a 4'0 scaffolder:cry:
