would anyone be able to tell me,
if i built a system scaffold staircase inside a building and the staircase was to be used for access to a platform (not scaffold)most probably on a daily basis,
would it still be required to have a 7 day inspection or "could it be classed as a permanent structure.
It would be tied in by welding scaffold tubes to a permanent steel structure on a 2mx3m grid and it is going to be up for ever and a day.
Is there any way round it or is it just FACT it needs inspecting?

THANKS

i would say its up to the company that has asked for it mate tell them the cost of the inspection etc they will run a mile LOL

A definite yes it will be necessary for a weekly inspection.

Yes mate it will require inspecting every 7 days as its a scaffold. if i was you i would look at selling the equipment to the client and that would put the ownness back on thier toes

I believe a 7 day inspection is required as long as the scaffold is erected

Your customers would be better off constructing a permanent staircase from steel and grid plates,as it would then come under "building regulations" and not require the weekly inspection
