Just had a look at the SF current user status... guests out numbered members 3-1 why so many guests?????................I reckon every tom **** & harry that we slag on here is observing the SF under cover???????????????????????;)

It has nowt to do with that, SF admin and superscaff explained it a while ago, However there is a small minority with a ulterior motive.

Here is a quote from superscaff from this same question asked in May.

That's true Paddy, but I have been threatened with some people printing extracts of things I have said in the past. One of the reasons I came back on after a bit of an absence. Who said they can bully the scaffs?:D

Myself also my learned friend, cant give away any of my electronic copies anymore. I new i should of had a 'Nom de plume' maybe change my username to........mmmmmmmm eeerrrrrr Patrick Carr. That might throw the bloodhounds off the scent.

I'm a member of a truck driver's forum and have access to the list of members which can be sorted on post count. Out of a total of 3713 members; over 60% mave made no posts at all.

The forum nags you to post. Suppose thats what Word Association is for.:bigsmile:

By clicking on the Community tab at the top of this page. You can access over 7,791 members accounts and have access to post and thread details.
Just coz were not 'Truckers' doesnt make us duckers.

The word association thread has feck all to do with SFadmin, it was brought out by a past member for a thread, which has kept the members still in contact.

Consultation even if by 'Word association' is still Sticking your head up above the Parapet, as being one of the Forum.

Joining the SCCR, is nailing your colours to the mast.

The guests who dont joinare merely parasites to me,only on to feed off the info and not to contribute.
It doesnt have to be the best info about jobs or regs,a bit of banter is enough,stop looking through the window chap the door and come in your all welcome;)

Some of the forums are visible to non members, but I was shocked to discover how many people sign up and never post anything.

Truckersworld is a "campaigning" site and its aims are to increase the profile of the needs of professional drivers as well as the usual banter, advice etc.

There has also been some crossfire between Truckersworld and trucknet and it is sad to see the bickering that goes on. There has also been some muppets (or even the same muppet) who join and post in order to wind people up. All this is visible to non members and does not paint a good picture of the industry. The SCCR on the other hand I am impressed with and seems a better way to go about things.

I reckon that most of them are hovering in the jobs section, i'd bet my left boll0ck they are. I made a thread on this some time ago.

Simple solution

Admin needs to hide the forums to unregistered members .

If you goggle the words " scaffold jobs " http://lmgtfy.com/?q=scaffold+jobs you will see the 3rd one down is SF.

any one is free to view the jobs without registering to the site and then leave .

Make those trolls sign up to the site so maybe in the future they return .

I think admin has to let unregistered people view the site or how else do you know if you want to join in. I think you only get to view a couple of posts before you have to sign up.

Boy's viewing the jobs page isn't the problem, it should be simple to find out where the work is. It's the t w a t s that view a printable version to send round who ever they can think off to try and beat me over the head with that is the problem.:mad:
 
Bit like a porn site really, have a bit window shopping, before a dabble. Howevever come on in the waters warm.lol.plus we dont need your credit card details to join.:D
