well guys, the reason we have not replied is becasue what is the point of explaining what happened if it is just going to fall on deaf ears.

Well here we go,

We was asked by a scaffolding company (we know who it is), to find 6 x Advanced scaffolders for work on the isle of grain.

we was told there would be a minium of 4 weeks work for our guys on this site then more after.

this changed he had his own guys come free, he then said he could use the guys in london for a few weeks.

the guys went to the induction as they will tell you, we then received a phone call from the client to say that our guys are no longer needed, as he had a job finish and his own guys where free.

what can we do, they told us they need guys for weeks, which is what it was ment to be. then a couple of days later after we had supplied the guys they tell us they dont need them anymore. we have said our sorrys repeatedly to the guys involved.

We post our jobs on here as we want to get you guys in work, and you must admit at least we are not coming on here offering crap money like these other agencies.

Out of all the jobs we have had two have gone pear shaped, which where out of our control, but the rest of our jobs which we have had good response from the forum have gone well, and we still have guys working for us who came from the forum.

i didnt want to write this because no matter what i say or how much it wasnt our fault we will still get stick for it.

I hope this at least explains our side of the story, but i have the feeling that it wont matter anyway.

I take it you will be repaying the guys the money they paid out,or even some of it then and only then you might just get some respect back.

maybe you need to start putting some sort of paragraph in your contract that at least allows you to claw back money , to enable you to :

A: cover costs for yourselves
B: Allow you to pay scaffolders out of pocket Due to expenses they have incurred.

if clients wont sign the contract tell them you not prepared to supply scaffolders unless they compensated for loss , so no contract no scaffolders .

it will help you build up a good relationship with scaffolders and clients will soon begin to respect you more for saying no, and being in a position where you have a supply of good scaffolders.

I know you will say that your clients will tell you to go swivel, but at minute and as the forum grows you might find that it will be the scaffolders saying it instead .

Like I have said in a few posts its not RHL,S fault for this its Millcroft scaffoldings fault for all of this.We went in to work on the Monday morning and was told we would be in London on Tuesday by there supevisor. We told him we had already paid our digs for the week and he just shrugged his shoulders.Later on that day we was told
had to come back tommorow for an induction.Yes we worked all day Monday without being inducted. We went Tuesday got inducted and worked that day when I received a call saying they did not need us after that day.We were all pissed off how Millcroft could do that to anyone but they did.I've talked to Nic about it and I said he needs to add 25p per hour for everyone they employ not just scaffolders so if this was to happen again not just to scaffolders it would compensate them for there exspenses.Nic has totally agreed with me and he is talking to his bosses to put something in place.I have worked for RHL before and not had a problem before even though some have. You all have to agree the most easiest scaffold job can end up being a nightmare,I think on this occasion this has been one of them.

mike am sure millcroft are to blame by changing their remit at such short notice, that just leaves these lads still out of pocket...............money im sure your well aware they cant afford to be out of pocket and are now in debt.the onus is on you as YOU ultimately drew those lads to the job im just going to ask this once as its your onus ARE YOU PREPARED TO DO THE PROPER THING AND REFUND THE MEN?........no need for long drawn out tales mike bout this and that will you refund the outstanding losses the lads incurred.
