just wondering if anyone has any info/websites ,ive now been started to be ask for a drawing/sketch for the work im about to erect showing ties and so on,as anyone else been ask for this.cheers big witts:confused:

Click on the Cads smart scaffolder icon at side of the page, great bit of kit, dug me out a few times.
 
Tie Patterns/ etc

TG20:08 shows tie patterns for basic scaffolds.

Generally if it is a sheeted scaffold then the ties should be every other bay x every other lift, but this may change due to the geometry of the building and location.

If you are erecting scaffolds then it is worth purchasing TG20:08 as this is the Guide for Good Practice for Scaffolds in tube and fittings in the UK.

TG20:08 only covers basis scaffolds though.

Unfortunately it seems that a lot more scaffolds are requiring designs.

Just to let you know, a copy of TG20 will cost about £140+vat for a nasc non member...
and its only a paper-back...
